Musunzu tree
Mothers, machetes, a singing contest, a small blue room, the shade of a Musunzu tree. This collection of short stories shows different facets of personhood, shades of happiness, and despair. Anchored by a sense of community, the characters probe the limitations of their existence. Woven underneath these complex, playful, twisting tales is a bold exploration of African consciousness and culture.
